Mark Noyes is a renewable energy leader recognized for his expertise in mobilizing diverse stakeholders to deploy cutting-edge solar, wind, and battery storage critical to our planet’s future.

Mark serves as the CEO and Board Member of TerraForm Power (TERP).

Prior to joining TERP, he structured Con Edison’s Clean Energy Businesses (CEB) in 2009, and grew it from startup to the second-largest solar energy owner and operator in North America with more than 4GW of operating renewable energy projects and a 10GW development pipeline. In October 2022, he led the sale of the CEB’s to RWE Clean Energy and remained as the CEO through January 2024 to facilitate the combination of the CEB business with the RWE business.

During his 35-year career, Mark has developed innovative energy solutions for small enterprises and large investor-owned energy companies. He began his professional career at Con Edison. He ascended to vice president of asset management and acquisition and was named to Crain’s New York Business 40 Under 40. Mark left Con Edison and launched two startups. He founded WebGen Systems and CPower and then successfully exited them to major domestic and international utilities. Throughout this entrepreneurial period, Mark advised energy clients on renewable innovations, technology, and acquisitions as the principal and managing partner at B4U Services. In 2008, he returned to Con Edison as vice president of Con Edison Development and then founded CEB in 2009.

Mark is also an inventor; he holds a patent for automatic energy management and energy consumption reduction, with a focus on commercial and multi-building systems.

Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and his MBA with a concentration in operations and finance. He was a certified energy manager (CEM®) and certified sustainable development professional (CSDP®) with the Association of Energy Engineers.

Ben Stafford has served as Chief Operating Officer of TerraForm Power since June 2023. In this role, Mr. Stafford leads the operations and asset management of TerraForm Power’s generation assets, repower and optimization development, and construction activities. Prior to joining TerraForm Power, Mr. Stafford held senior leadership roles in GE Renewable Energy’s onshore wind business, focusing on repower and services in North and South America. Before joining GE, Mr. Stafford was an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps and is a graduate of Yale University.

Josh Garrett has served as Chief Financial Officer of TerraForm Power since October 2023. Mr. Garrett first joined Brookfield in August 2022, where he held a senior Capital Markets position. Prior to joining Brookfield, Mr. Garrett was a senior member of the Investment Team at Hannon Armstrong Sustainable Infrastructure in the Washington, D.C. area, and before that held various finance roles of increasing responsibility at TerraForm Power and its predecessor. He started his career at Citi in the Power and Utilities Corporate and Investment Banking group. Mr. Garrett is a veteran of the U.S. Navy submarine force. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter-holder.

Akshaya Bhargava is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in the clean energy sector. As the CCO of TerraForm Power (TERP), he drives revenue growth, portfolio optimization, and strategic partnerships. Previously, he was the COO of RWE Clean Energy, overseeing a 10 GW portfolio and serving on its Board. At Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses (CEB), Akshaya managed a 4 GW renewable and battery energy storage portfolio, contributing to transactions worth over $10 billion.

Before his clean energy career, Akshaya was an Assistant Manager at Reliance Industries Limited, optimizing petrochemical plant operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from IIT Roorkee and an MBA in finance from the University of Maryland. Akshaya is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Akshaya Bhargava is a seasoned executive and industry leader with a strong track record of scaling businesses, optimizing operations, and driving profitability across the clean energy sector. With over 25 years of experience, Akshaya has played a pivotal role in growing portfolios, negotiating high-value transactions, and establishing strategic processes that enhance organizational performance.

Akshaya serves as the CCO of TerraForm Power (TERP) responsible for driving revenue growth, portfolio optimization, and strategic partnerships across the company’s renewable energy assets. He leads commercial strategy, power marketing, and customer engagement to ensure sustainable, long-term value creation.

Previously, Akshaya served as the Chief Operating Officer, of RWE Clean Energy. He oversaw the profitability and operation of RWE Clean Energy portfolio of 10 GW. Akshaya also serves as an Executive Director on the Board of RWE Clean Energy.

Akshaya before joining RWE Clean Energy was the Vice President, Assets of Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses (CEB). At CEB he was responsible for the growth and profitability of the renewable and battery energy storage portfolio of more than 4 GW. Akshaya was a lead member of the team that closed on transactions worth more than $10 billion, growing the business from startup to the second-largest solar energy owner and operator in North America and a leader in C&I and utility-scale battery storage.

Akshaya oversaw professionals in development, project management, construction management, and finance. Akshaya and his team developed clean energy resources for more than a decade and delivered projects on time and on budget.

Before transitioning to clean energy, Akshaya was an Assistant Manager at Reliance Industries Limited, where he led a multidisciplinary team, including union workers, in a petrochemical plant. There, he optimized daily production while ensuring safe and reliable operations.

Akshaya earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and his MBA with a specialization in finance from the Smith School at the University of Maryland where he was awarded the Texaco scholarship. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Megha Shah currently serves as the General Counsel of TerraForm Power. In this role, Ms. Shah leads the legal function of the business, including oversight of all transaction execution, corporate governance and risk management matters. She has held a number of senior positions at Brookfield since joining in 2018. Prior to joining Brookfield, Ms. Shah served as Assistant General Counsel for a real estate investment trust (REIT) sponsor, where she focused on securities and corporate governance matters for a platform of 15 SEC-registered REITs. Ms. Shah began her legal career at a large New York City law firm, where she was an associate in the capital markets group. Ms. Shah holds a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.

Whitney Wilson is the Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence and Engineering. Ms. Wilson joined TerraForm Power as part of the acquisition team from parent company Brookfield. Since the acquisition of TerraForm Power, Ms. Wilson has also held the positions of Head of Engineering and Vice President, Solar Operations. She has 20 years of renewable energy experience, and has worked as an owner, operator, and developer with Brookfield Renewable and TerraForm Power, as well as an independent engineer & bank’s technical advisor, and owner’s engineer at AWS Truepower (now UL), and Black & Veatch. Although her primary areas of emphasis are wind and solar, she also has experience with battery storage, hydroelectric, biomass, and ethanol projects. Ms. Wilson has a bachelor’s degree in physics from Fort Hays State University and has master’s studies in electrical engineering with an emphasis on power systems from Kansas State University.

Jon Elmer has served as VP Solar Operations of TerraForm Power since June 2023 after serving as Sr. Director Operations of TerraForm Solar assets since 2021. Jon has held a number of senior Operations positions at Brookfield Renewable Power since joining in 2004. He is a strong leader in Health, Safety, Security and Environmental principles and implementation. Jon has successfully managed and directed engaged self-performance teams safely since 1983. Jon previously worked for Reliant Energy, Orion Power and Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation in Operations leadership roles. He possesses knowledge in many aspects of Operation and Maintenance of; Solar, Conventional Hydroelectric, Wind, Pump Storage, Transmission & Distribution, HV DC Transmission, and Combined-Cycle Natural Gas. Jon has experience and knowledge in Operational and Due Diligence aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions, Electric Substation design, Distribution and Transmission planning and Electrical Studies, Utility Interconnections, and FERC Hydroelectric project licensing and operational regulations. Additionally, Jon has experience in IBEW Union labor negotiations and management. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, concentration in Electrical Power Systems, from Clarkson University and is a registered Professional Engineer, NYS.

Danny Van Clief has nearly 20 years of experience in the clean energy sector. As the CDO of TerraForm Power (TERP), he oversees the company’s greenfield development pipeline, working with landowners, localities, utilities, and permitting authorities to establish solar and battery storage projects that meet the needs of a diverse set of stakeholders.

Previously, Danny served as Co-Founder and CEO of Sun Tribe Development, a leading developer of solar and battery storage projects in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast US, with a portfolio totaling 4 GW. Prior to launching Sun Tribe Development, he served as Chief Commercial Officer and later President of Coronal Energy, a Panasonic company, as well as EVP Development for the greenfield development business HelioSage Energy.

Danny holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA in from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
